A presentation by artist Valentina Bonizzi
AERIAL MEMORY, RESISTANCE was a presentation of work in progress consisting of archival photographs, filmed interviews and film projection. The presentation unfolds in the form of an open studio with the artist present in the space to interact with the audience. The different works are the dissembled components of a single film currently in production. Presenting the work at this stage gives the opportunity of exhibiting the creative process in its development: a film caught in its becoming, as it were.
The presentation aimed to prompt ideas and discussion about the perception and understanding of the aerial view in relation to representations of memory, conflict and resilience.
