CCA, Glasgow – Cartographers

The film ‘Cartographers‘, by Valentina Bonizzi, was screened as part of the GRAMNet Film Series programme at the CCA, Glasgow on 10 February 2016.

Cartographers‘ is a 24 minute documentary film and a series of archival aerial photographs by Valentina Bonizzi, commissioned by Cultural Documents and produced in Scotland, France and Italy.

The film Cartographers (2015) questions the cartographic nature of displacement of a generation of Italians who experienced WWII. The film unravels the paradigm of a community that shares a migrant identity developed between rural Italy and the peripheries of Glasgow and Paris.
