symposium – dunoon and venice, defining an italo-scottish cultural dialogue
We’re delighted to be invited to take part in their symposium linking the current exhibition Demarco in Dunoon: Homage to Joseph Beuys in the Celtic World of Dunoon, with the exhibition being produced by Richard Demarco for the 58th Biennale di Venezia opening in May 2019.
Cultural Documents’ Director Deirdre MacKenna will join the dialogue in anticipation of the exhibition she will produce at the Museo Nazionale del Molise a Castello Pandone, Venafro, the first presentation of the life and work of Richard Demarco in an Italian national institution, and a re-introduction to the community of his ancestors from nearby Atina and Picinisco.
