POSTPONED
Join us for a walk to St Bride’s Well as we approach St Brides’ Day and Imbolc, the Celtic feast of Spring’s awakening on 01 February.
The event will open at the exhibition + for St Bride, with an introduction by Dunoon Burgh Hall staff about the life of St Brigid (St Bride), why her work endures today and how artists Alexander and Susan Maris used lichen from around the Well of St Bride in Dunoon to make the dye which colours the tapestry in the exhibition.
The walk will take approximately 15 minutes and on arrival Rector David Railton and members of the congregation of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church will welcome the group and give a ten minute talk about their dialogues with artists Alexander and Susan Maris and how this led to their recent rediscovery of St Bride’s Well.
